A fantastic Heart of America Kennel Club membership meeting last Tuesday (20Sep2022). For some history- the club had heard that KCPD K9 -Dennis, had died due to cancer. The handler was looking for a new K9 partner. In 2022 the HoAKC board voted to purchase a dog for the department. The donation was made in recognition of the Heart of America Kennel Clubs 75th anniversary as the pure bred dog club in Kansas City, Missouri. The club purchased, K-9 Flick, a Dutch bred Malinois, Detective Bryan Jobe is her handler and trainer. The attending members were given a tour of the KCPD K9 training facility and were able to watch Flick burn off some of her high energy in their large training yard. Many thanks to Detective Jobe and Flick, for your hospitality and information about the training of these amazing K9 partners. We look forward to future updates. ... See MoreSee Less
